Samphire Coast won a lower grade handicap over track and trip last month while Lagenda was narrowly beaten here last time and has an apprentice’s allowances in his favour. Wicker won a maiden race over course and distance and is another to consider but EBTKAAR makes most appeal. Formerly with Roger Varian, he was having his first start since June when second over 7f here last month and Mick Appleby’s new charge looks capable of scoring off his current mark. Fighting Temeraire and Gentlemen slip further down the weights and could bounce back at any time.
