      Verdict

      HARD GRAFT has only run over this trip once before and finished tailed off. But he returned from a short break to get off the mark over 6f at Southwell and these is no reason why he shouldn’t get home on this faster surface. Swissal has gone up another 3lb since his course and distance second but the Chelmsford scorer still looks a bigger danger than The British Lion, who is looking a little one-paced and may benefit from even further. Papa Stour and Equilibrium are among those probably capable of better this year.
