The bottom five are all 1lb out of the handicap though that shouldn't make much difference and the former Irish-based La Cumparsita made a strong start for new connections at Newcastle. She'll be suited by the drop back to 7f and Luke Morris is a positive booking. My Girl Maisie pops up every now and then and did very well when runner-up in a classified stakes here last week. If in the same kind of mood she'll take some beating from her lowly spot in the handicap though MALAYSIAN BOLEH may have her measure. The only course and distance winner in the line-up, Phil McEntree's charge finished fourth in Thursday's event but didn't get the run of the race. The extra furlong is in his favour and he can gain his 12th victory on his 125th start. Cool Echo landed a Class 7 at Kempton in January but has been well beaten at this level subsequently.
