NUFOUDH looks set to go very close at the least here and is taken to get the better of Summer Dancer and Frognal. Tracey Waggott's charge looked set to win off this mark before finding a galvanised rival too strong close home, but a return to Catterick can see him make amends. He'll need to settle better, but our hope that he can; his last three efforts have come behind in-form rivals in more competitive races than this and compensation awaits. Summer Dancer needs a strong pace to be seen to his best and didn't get it last time, as he tried to follow up a Beverley win. The handicapper has quickly dropped him down a pound in the ratings and if they do go quickly he could swoop late on, although he may prefer a stiffer test. Frognal steps up in distance and that looks a wise move; he's placed over seven furlongs on two of his three tries and has shaped lately as though in need of it. Furthermore he took third here a couple of starts back, flying at the death, and is now rated a pound lower. Malcheek might be best caught fresh and hasn't been shaping like a winner of late, Rio Cobolo remains higher in the weights than when last winning in 2009 whilst Glenridding is 2lbs higher than when headed late on when last racing here and that may stop him winning. Nufoudh looks the horse most likely to give his running and gets the vote to come out on top in a tight race.
