Verdict

Stoic Leader looked an improving handicapper when winning at Hamilton last time and is taken to complete the hat-trick at the main expense of Chico Guapo and the unexposed Nathan Brittles. The selection was winning for the first time in 10 starts when successful at Southwell at the beginning of the month when beating Star Lad by a cosy two lengths (value for much more) and followed up with the minimum of fuss at Hamilton. A 7lb rise looks far from harsh and he is taken to win again. Chico Guapo has been an improved performer this term with wins at Lingfield and here at Catterick but he was well held off today's mark at Redcar last time and looks to be in the grip of the handicapper now. Nathan Brittles is open to plenty of improvement after just four career starts and rates the main danger to the selection. Frascati, who should strip fitter for her recent return at Thirsk, looks the best of the remainder.
