Verdict

Chti Balko was beaten in a point-to-point before finishing last in a bumper then made a reasonable start over hurdles at Doncaster where he was in the front rank for much of the way before fading. He should see off his stable companion Hit And Run, though the latter will be better for his run in a bumper here, but LIFE KNOWLEDGE could prove a more difficult proposition. Patrick Holmes' charge didn't run badly on his hurdling bow at Musselburgh, where he took some time to warm up, and he's since won easily on the Tapeta at Newcastle. With his rider claiming 3lb, he may be good enough to beat the likely favourite. Classical Sound has started at huge prices in all three runs and been well beaten.
