A small but competitive field goes to post for the last on the card but the main protagonists look to be Croix De Guerre, Dr Julian and Piste Bleu and we will take a chance on Croix De Guerre. The gelding from the Sir Mark Prescott yard was very disappointing in first time blinkers last time as he pulled to hard but in the hope that he settles better on this speed track he is a tentative vote to get back on the winning trail. Piste Blue rates the main danger on his latest third behind Longmeadows Boy but that was in a seller and he will need to improve again to win off this mark. Dr Julian is also worthy of consideration he was a fair third behind Castle Ring last time and Silver Coin was well behind him in that race. Their is no reason why Dr Julian should not beat Silver Coin again under similar conditions and he has definite place claims. The remainder need to improve significantly on there most recent form to trouble the judge so the vote in a trappy affair goes to Croix de Guerre.
