A competitive maiden greets us here with the top five in the betting forecast all with strong claims and despite the fact he has a bit to find according to the BHA ratings we'll side with DIAMOND BLADE ahead of Fifth Amendment and Manana Manana. The pick is one of the least exposed here and should improve above his current mark. He has certainly progressed as a three-year-old and only found a useful type too good on his penultimate run and with that further progression expected he should prove better than his rivals. Fifth Amendment disappointed on his seasonal bow last time but it could be the ground was plenty quick enough. As a two-year-old he acted well on softish ground so it is feasible he will show more this time. Manana Manana also should go well on this ground based on his two-year-old best and showed signs he had trained on well with a good display two starts back before finding handicap company a bit too tough. Positivity should be better than his recent performances have shown but that has to be taken on faith while Fashion Icon has been running well of late but this time might find the conditions against him. Not the easiest maiden to call but Diamond Blade looks the percentage call
