Verdict

Morning Beauty won over a similar trip at Bath in July and was second back there earlier this month. But both of those runs were on very fast ground and she might not find conditions here to her liking. TROUBLE AND STRIFE was stepped up in trip after a couple of wins at Lingfield in July. She has continued to run well, despite creeping up the weights, and this looks a good opportunity to get back in the winner’s enclosure, though she is another who will need to prove herself on the going. Dr Richard Kimble was out of his depth at Ascot last time but tries a new trip today. The Resdev Way was a course and distance winner last month, however, though only fifth off this mark on a return visit. Donnachies Girl hasn’t won this year but the handicapper is refusing to release his grip on Alistair Whillans’ mare.
