Verdict

A seemingly wide-open finale. Global Humor was trounced by Magical Effect here last September the last time he raced south of the border. The latter is in the veteran stage now, however, and was behind Rain Cap and stablemate MUTANAASEQ here last month. Along with Coaxing, Langholm and Obee Jo, he was also behind James Sullivan’s mount on a return visit. Asmund kept on for pressure when third at Beverley last week and Darbucks has come up against the much-improved Jkr Cobbler at Ayr the last twice. Camacho Star beat the prolific Barolo here two runs ago so certainly isn’t out of this along with the evergreen Mr Strutter.
