In depth

Verdict

A tough back end handicap but Bryan Smart's team are hitting form so we will take Twice Upon A Time at the expense of Sholto and College Queen. Twice Upon A Time took a handicap at York last week off a three pound lower mark and with no question marks about the surface - we feel sure that she holds a favourite's chance. Sholto is another for whom the ground should hold no fears. The horse has dropped enough hints to his followers in recent weeks but he is still yet to win off such a high mark. College Queen will be anticipated to make a beeline for the rail. She invariably blazes a trail over six furlongs and will need to have established a lead before her finishing speed is tested inside the distance. Brantwood was a beaten favourite earlier in the week at Southwell and may be feeling the effects of a busy campaign. Sir Sandrovitch was beaten by our selection at York and has struggled after a prolific spell earlier in the season. Vision Of Dreams and African Spur hail from shrewd yards and should be checked in the market. Percy Douglas and Rare Destiny are exposed as moderate. We will stick with the Bryan Smart team in our quest for winners and believe that Twice Upon A Time will take the beating.
