It was soft going at Thirsk when Joie De Vivre made a winning start for Martin Todhunter’s yard. He’s only 3lb higher but today’s ground is a worry and QUINTADA is preferred. The latter has improved for the step up to 1m2f with placed efforts at Salisbury and in better company at York last time and there looks more to come from her over this longer distance. Bollin Joan has placed in an amateurs' race over track and trip though last month’s success at Doncaster came over 1m2f while better was expected from Shagalla at Windsor last time and more is needed in this.
