Verdict

JACKS LAST HOPE (NAP) looks a nice prospect and, as his easy win at Sedgefield came in a race for conditional jockeys, he gets 7lb from Chieftain's Choice, which could be decisive. The latter is improving, however, judged on his victory at Hexham and this trip should be within his compass. May's Boy is already starting to look exposed but debutant Argent Knight has to be worth a market check as his last run on the Flat came in the Cesarewitch so stamina won't be a problem. He probably wouldn't want any more rain however. Winning pointer Monbeg River might do better over fences while Aristo Du Plessis showed nothing at Ayr on his hurdles bow.
