Hallstatt was just touched off at Wolverhampton last month and makes more appeal than Jawaab and Maslak, who have also been in action on the all-weather. Micky Hammond saddles C&D winner Danceintothelight and Amir Pasha, who has a good record over hurdles at the track, and both have to be considered while top weight may not be enough to prevent a prominent showing from the returning Mohawk Ridge. White Deer only won a seller here last year but there wasn't a lot wrong with his comeback third at Wolverhampton and he gets on well with Robert Winston. But he's giving 9lb to HI DANCER, who has come right back to form over hurdles lately and never looked in danger in defeat at Sedgefield eight days ago. Ben Haslam's nine-year-old looks the one to beat.
