        Verdict

        A winner over hurdles here, ITALIAN RIVIERA (NAP) romped home by five lengths over course and distance last time. Kenneth Slack’s charge looks worth sticking with despite an 8lb hike in the weights and is preferred to Bodacious Name, placed over a longer trip at Pontefract when last on the Flat. Golden Jeffrey is fit from hurdling and won on the level at Musselburgh last season while Dew Pond has the past form to figure but missed the whole of last year and faded badly in the closing stages of a comeback run at Ripon last month.
