        Verdict

        SHREWD APPROACH showed a big improvement to finish third at Ffos Las and it’s reasonable to expect further progress from Simon Crisford’s filly today. She’s preferred to Mountain Approach and Burnieboozle, who have shown little so far and leave the newcomers looking bigger threats. Of those, Mark Johnston’s Amazing Rock is a half-brother to three winners and Three Saints Bay also represents one of the powerful northern yards.
