Just nine runners go to post here but it is one of the trickiest races on the card and with slight trepidation the vote goes to Doctrine, with Musical Lyrics and Chicago Bond noted as live dangers. John Gosden's topweight landed the odds in a Yarmouth maiden last time following two promising efforts at Goodwood and Nottingham, and with further improvement expected , this daughter of Barathea should run well. Chicago Bond gets into the handicap on a very reasonable mark after finishing close up behind hot pot Lake Garda last time out, and Brian Smart's filly has to be considered. Musical Lyrics has also been given a chance by the handicapper after showing a great deal of promise behind Model Figure at Redcar. In a very open affair Dry Wit and Sinora Wood are also worth a mention but Doctrine is given the nod ahead of Musical Lyrics and Chicago Bond.
