In depth

Verdict

Without a win for over three years, Red Lion is taken to put matters rights. The winner of a handicap off a mark of 93 three years ago, he is clearly some way below his best, but this looks the ideal opportunity for him to get his head back in front. College Maid, disappointing of late, also comes into this well treated (9lb lower than her last winning mark), and it would be no surprise if she was involved in the finish, although she has yet to win beyond six-furlongs. Queens Musician and course winner Tancred Arms are others to note.
