    Verdict

Lake Barrine, Kingsben and Dark Gentleman look the three to look at here with Kingsbenset to follow up a promising debut. Kingsben was a 100,000 guineas purchase as a yearling, being a son of Kings Best from a Derby winning family, but he failed to appear on the Flat. He made his debut when fourth in what looked a good bumper at Newcastle and can learn from the experience. Dark Gentleman has run well in two Hexham bumpers and likes to make the running. That may suit on this sharp track, and given a lack of solid form elsewhere, he can reach a place. Lake Barrine may have been second first time out, but that was only a four runner affair and others are preferred. Kingsben can rule here.
