In depth

Verdict

The two top-weights Market Trend and Epiphany have excellent winning form and look certain to figure in the finish, but we will look down the handicap for the winner and plump for Dispol Isle. David Barron is a master at setting up horses for handicap victories and he appears to have found a good opportunity for this daughter of Trans Island. She is trying this trip for the first time after staying on well over the six furlong trip last time when a close third behind Je Suis Belle. With no ground concerns and off this very competitive mark she does appear to be very good each-way value. The handicapper has taken no chances with Market Trend following a comfortable victory at Ayr. However as that was only her second outing she is entitled to improve. Epiphany landed a modest Ayr maiden before finishing six lengths behind subsequent Cheveley Park winner Magical Romance so merits every respect against this lesser company. My Princess is also worth a mention with Fallon on board, but Dispol Isle looks to have been crying out for this trip and is a sporting selection.
