In depth

Verdict

A competitive affair here in which all the horses can be given a chance on there best form but the TEAMtalk selection is Woodfield Gale he ran well on his debut this season when fourth behind Lindajane before being third over a shorter trip here last time out. This longer trip should suit and he will be hard to beat with conditions in his favour. Flat Top rates the main danger he is well in on his best form and is sure to strip fitter than for his debut run this season. However his stable are going through a quiet spell and he is still prone to the odd jumping error Emperor's Magic was behind Woodfield Gale over two miles three furlongs last time out but he to is better over this longer trip. Lord Capitaine was in good form at the end of last season in easier races but he has since risen in the weights. However his stable is in good form who can have one fit first time out so the market may be the best guide as to what is expected. Cardinal Mark was a well backed favourite last time out but he appeared not to stay that extended trip. The gelding from the Sue Smith yard is well in on some of his form and this shorter trip and sharper track should suit him. Of the others Supreme Soviet is well weighted on some of his best form and has been given a break to freshen up. He could go well off his fairly light weight.
