Little winning form to assess although that would not be the case had David Nolan not dropped his hands on PETROL on the gelding's penultimate start at Ripon. He was subsequently backed into favouritism at Thirsk but rarely threatened and a first-time visor is now applied. He's given another chance to gain a deserved success. Slide Show was runner-up in that Thirsk contest, her best run since joining the Nicholls team from Colin Teague. The Galileo mare also showed promise when trained by David Wachman in Ireland and is worth short-list inclusion. Ailsa Craig hasn't won since August 2011 but is running consistently well this term and a recent length third to the progressive Size affords her a decent chance now. Royal Sea also has place claims.
