Not an easy 'getting out stakes' but HARDY is given the chance to make amends for an unusually poor run at Beverley last time. He didn't appear to settle at all that day and the mile plus trip was probably too far. He's back down in trip now and previous form makes him a player. An outside draw is a possible concern. Ann Duffield points both Clotherholme and Quercus at the target and both are in with a shout, with the latter just preferred over this trip. Burtonwood has been a good servant down the years but this game Wolverhampton winner in January might need the run, so Without Delay, a recent runner-up here behind Langholm, rates a likelier shortlist prospect.
