Verdict

Spirit Of Wedza arrives on the back of a victory here last month where he was awarded the race in the stewards' room. He's just 2lb higher though is also 1lb out of the handicap and this looks tougher. B Fifty Two wasn't far behind but looks held while Foxtrot Knight, who won over 5f on soft going at Pontefract last month, has never won over this trip though quicker ground and a fast track should help him home. LUCKY BEGGAR was in very good form when winning this last season but hasn't won subsequently. He's on a 2lb lower mark and will find this more to his liking than the Class 2 handicap he ran in at York last time when Private Matter finished just in front of him though was also well beaten. Muatadel was in superb form last summer and ran well for a long way on his return to action at Thirsk so he's another to consider in an open handicap.
