    Verdict

Some mediocre types here and ADAB is put forward to minimal stakes though Nchike and Legendary Guest are others noted in the shortlist. Formerly trained by John Gosden, Adab was allowed to pass through the ring at Doncaster for just 5000 guineas. Well drawn and from an unfashionable trainer, a return to some of his earlier efforts would see him in with a big shout. Nchike has ability though has been done few favours by the draw. There is a suspicion that he may also be better for a softer surface. Legendary Guest handles genuinely good ground and while up in trip, this is his first foray into plating class. Ace Of Spies returns from an inauspicious hurdling campaign. Billy Hot Rocks has deteriorated at a rate of knots. Lytton seems not to have trained on from juvenile status. Charlie Allnut has ran respectably at low levels during the winter and should not lack matchfitness. Just Pickles has to be noted closely in the market as a runner from the Alan Swinbank stable. Johnny Friendly certainly gets the trip but will need the headgear to bring about improvement. A poor race where getting stuck in traffic wouldn't be a bad option but as a sporting bet, Adab gets the nod.
