THE BAY OAK won at Sedgefield before finishing runner-up at Chepstow. He finished well ahead of Crank Em Up, who was due to run at Uttoxeter yesterday, and is weighted to beat Good Tradition. The lattter has struggled since scoring at Kilbeggan back in August but Cave Top finished closer in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time. Valadom would go close if running up to his chasing mark though was well beaten in October when last seen over timber.
