Another trappy race here but something has to win and the principals look to be Charlie Crab, General Ledger and Leac An Scail and the tentative nomination is given to Charlie Crab. The selection unshipped his rider at the first last time out but prior to that he had been a fair third in a bumper behind Corkage. He is sure to have been well schooled since and under conditions that suit he looks a value bet. General Ledger rates the main danger on his best form and he looks sure to be suited by this longer trip and he should be watched in the market. Leac An Scail is sure to run his race but he looks vulnerable giving weight away to all his rivals. Canalturn is well bred but has shown little to date. Of the others Bewery Man is clearly thought capable of better and should be watched in the market while Basoda looks the stables second string on jockey bookings and with this in mind for the winner we are happy to return to the unexposed Charlie Crab.
