In depth

Verdict

Sub Lieutenant was a smart performer in Ireland in his heyday but the veteran is best watched having a first run since last season’s Grand National. Fred The Foot is making his handicap debut over the larger obstacles but was a winner at Kilbeggan last month, though looks a few pounds too high. GET OUT THE GATE (NAP) has won three times since joining Sandy Thomson. He was very impressive at Perth last month and can shrug off a further 6lb rise with former pointer Dressedforsuccess having gone up 7lb for a third successive win here six weeks ago.
