Verdict

ARDESIA is back on the same mark as when a comfortable winner of this 12 months ago. Tina Jackson's gelding looks to coming to hand again just in time to stage a repeat. Woody Valentine wouldn't be far away on his best form but finished last in a Huntingdon seller on his latest start while Itstooearly disappointed at Aintree after a second at Sedgefield. Storm Surge was second over fences at Wetherby off a 9lb higher mark last time, however, and can't be ignored while veteran Amjad won at Sedgefield in March and it would no surprise if he also played a part in a low-key finale.
