In depth

Verdict

High Counsel is something of a Warwick specialist but the veteran has only gone up 3lb for his latest victory there when subsequent Uttoxeter winner Oceans Red was well beaten. Lough Salt hinted at a return to form at Uttoxeter but still looks a few pounds too high. Good Man Vinnie was no match for Larry Looby at Hexham and Micky Hammond’s charge demands respect. LOUGHERMORE seemed to enjoy himself around here last month, despite returning with a bloody nose. He has gone up 4lb but his rider claims 7lb again so he’s just preferred to Well Cliche who is another with solid claims in an open-looking handicap.
