Verdict

The veteran Carters Rest won last year’s renewal off a lower mark but Theflyingportrait has yet to win anywhere and may prefer softer ground. Formidableopponent was beaten only a nose at Perth recently and can figure along with the returning Larkhall, a winner at Leicester in November under today’s conditional. ENDEAVOR (NAP) scored over course and distance last year off a 2lb higher mark. He’s been competing over hurdles of late and, racing off the same mark as when scoring at Sedgefield last month, Dianne Sayer’s charge may prove good enough back over these fences.
