Heroique has run her best races so far over this trip and should be thereabouts again without being quite good enough. No Leaf Clover has obvious claims from a low draw having only been beaten a head at Newcastle on debut, though the form of that race hasn't worked out. Captain Myles was third at Wolverhampton earlier this month on his first start but more interesting is TOO ELUSIVE. Kristin Stubbs' gelding was taken off his feet over 5f here on debut but did good work in the final quarter-mile, suggesting the extra will be right up his street. Our Channel, a full brother to two winners, looks the pick of the newcomers ahead of the cheaply-bought Royal Connoisseur, but may need further.
