In depth

Verdict

After proving himself just as effective on the level after opening his career with a bumper win SAGA DE TERCEY has our confidence to succeed on his handicap debut leaving Ifatfirst and Casino Night left with the job of filling the places. After his demolition job in his opening run trainer Alan Swinbank switched his charge to maiden company where he duly obliged again, if only just. The form from that is beginning to work out and although the trip might be a little sharp his mark at least looks fair for his bow in this sphere. Ifatfirst just failed to get up to win in the final stages of a fair Ascot handicap last time and is up a couple of pounds for that run. That doesn't put him out of things especially has he is one win from one effort over this trip. Casino Night has four pounds extra to carry after a near miss on his last start but that takes him to a rating that he has previously gone close off of and he comfortably held a subsequent winner during that last run so there's little wrong with the form. Eda would be interesting if running to his hurdles form but with that not guaranteed Saga De Tercey is given the verdict.
