In depth

Verdict

General Smith might be worth a chance to send punters home happy in the finale. Well drawn in stall 20, Milton Bradley's gelding wouldn't have been suited by the soft ground last time and on a sounder surface here could be the one to beat. Blue Mystique is another to be well drawn and should go close with his usual sound effort, whilst Soltaat might prove an even bigger danger having just failed to last home over seven furlongs last time and is also drawn on the right side of the track.
