In depth

Verdict

Gettingbybutonlyjust looks well treated on his best form while there is an obvious case to be made for Supremes Legacy, although ideally he'd like it softer, so instead we make preference for NELLIEDONETHAT. Lucinda Russell's runner has been consistent this winter and claimed back to back handicaps off a mark of 83 in January. A solid effort last time off a rating in the low nineties was much better than the gelding's previous run under that mark and with the handicapper putting him down to a winnable rating then he can score again. Gettingbybutonlyjust is now down to his lowest mark since December 2006 and recent displays have suggested this one could be ready to return to winning ways; the step down in grade will also help. Supremes Legacy should go well here after racing strongly off a two pound higher mark in a worse contest where the form is looking strong last time. Ideally this one would like more cut in the ground but he should handle these conditions. If Michel Henry can put his last poor effort behind him he could go well though his mark looks high and Jacksonville would be another to consider for some prize money racing off an interesting rating. Another competitive race for us then where we like the look of Nelliedonethat.
