Savannah Moon won last year’s renewal off a 4lb higher mark but Markhan carries 6lb extra and steps up in trip after scoring easily at Ayr last week. Plansina and Qasr also carry penalties for winning at Thirsk and Ayr respectively while Prancing Oscar has been raised 5lb for scoring at Hamilton. Sioux Frontier is not out of this but BAHKIT should be sharper for a comeback run at Haydock having ended last year with a double. Philip Kirby’s charge should be winning again this year and gets a speculative vote in an open affair.
