COOL MISSION did well to score last time and might be able to defy a penalty in beating Chicago Outfit and Colour Clash. Donald McCain's yard had a high profile Cheltenham Festival winner in these colours last week and their charge has solid prospects here. He has one very nice piece of bumper form and improved upon a decent hurdling debut to score over this trip last time, so with conditions ideal he can carry a penalty to success. Chicago Outfit is a strapping son of Old Vic who will be suited by further in time, but there are races to be won with him over hurdles and he showed improvement for taking to them last time. Perhaps he'll get done for speed on this ground, but Howard Johnson's runner merits respect as does Colour Clash. The last-named arguably holds the best form claims of those yet to have won over timber, having run a decent sort close last time. That horse came from Howard Johnson's yard so they should know where they stand and the market will reveal more. Onajet has a rating of 132 but that's based on his form in Australia and he didn't look up to it when well held on his debut here. Go Silver Bullet has won over fences but is exposed as modest and this switch back to hurdles isn't unlikely to uncover masses of improvement, Playing The Field has two interesting bits of form but this point-to-point recruit may need a real test, whilst his unraced stablemate Columbus Secret needs a market check. This isn't the best novices' hurdle of the season by any stretch and Cool Mission may be able to carry a penalty to victory in it.
