Previous winners Cedar Valley, Liz's Dream and Kalifornia all have penalties to carry with the last-named possibly the pick of that trio. Charlie's Lass finished third at Perth in August but was never nearer. Rashee disappointed in that race but may have needed the run and Heather Song has a nice pedigree being a half-sister to a couple of Nicky Henderson-trained winners. There are several former pointers making their debuts under Rules with MEGA YEATS the most interesting ahead of Shotgun Sally and Regarding Ruth. Ruth Jefferson’s filly easily won a mares’ maiden between the flags in April and is a £60,000 purchase from proven jumping stock.
