      Verdict

      Wotabreeze gave notice of an imminent victory when a good fourth in a better race at Thirsk and duly obliged at Ripon. He's only up 2lb so should make a bold bid to follow up though Regal Mirage, who led until the closing stages in the latter event, looks certain to give another good account. Akamanto looked a likely future winner when beaten a neck at Musselburgh and was well supported at Hamilton next time but could only stay on at one pace. SAVANNAH MOON (NAP) won a Pontefract handicap over 1m2f then got no sort of run on a return visit. She's never raced over a trip this far but gets a chance to prove that latest run all wrong.
