In depth

Verdict

A few old friends on view and See You There can take this at the expense of Super Road Train and Silver Knight. The selection hasn't been in the greatest of form of late but he likes the track and tends to do his winning at this time of the year. The fact he had a recent pipeopener over hurdles looks very significant given this engagement. Super Road Train has been a revelation since switching to Sue Smith's establishment. He should appreciate this marathon test but the handicapper has had plenty of chance to look at him. Silver Knight is a likeable enough sort. He ran lamentably at Doncaster but conditions should suit today and he can be expected to give supporters a decent run for their money. Matmata Du Tendron relishes a slog and can have no complaints about today's surface. Ferdy Murphy had a couple left in at the five-day stage so it could be significant that Carry Duff takes his chance from a light racing weight. The race of the day and See You There can produce the goods.
