Verdict

New Abbey Angel went close over 7f at Ayr last week but is upped a grade today. QUOTELINE DIRECT (NAP) is preferred as Micky Hammond’s charge started the season on a 13lb higher mark and posted a much better effort when second at Thirsk last month. He should make a bold bid given First Wheat was well beaten off today’s mark recently having won at Catterick earlier and Rainbow Rebel is making a belated seasonal debut. The remainder are hard to recommend in their current form.
