Verdict

Posh Stick, Vulcan Lane, Midlem Melody and Glenfarclas Boy look the principals in this competitive handicap chase and the narrow vote is given to Vulcan Lane. The selection was a fair second behind Green Gamble last time out, looks to be on a fair mark and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Posh Stick rates the main danger on her latest third behind Midlem Melody but she looks weighted up to the hilt and looks venerable to a better handicapped horse. Midlem Melody is sure to have her supporters as she won well last time out but although she won with a little in hand her penalty may catch her out in this more competitive affair. Glenfarclas Boy showed improved form to be second behind Midlem Melody last time and is weighted to get closer here but he is far from consistent and is passed over for that reason. Of the remainder Jaccout was a fair sort over hurdles and returns to chasing on a fair mark so is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Vulcan Lane.
