      Verdict

      A race that won’t take much winning. Princess Mononoke is very consistent but getting no respite from the handicapper as a consequence and may have to settle for a place again. Calliope is now 0-13 and could also do with dropping a few pounds. CONDARCIA was far too keen when favourite for an amateurs’ contest at Catterick in December. That was over 2m4f so dropping back in trip should suit and the talented Danny McMenamin is in the saddle today. Barnay looks the pick of the remainder.
