Ben Britten makes his eagerly awaited reappearance and can come back with a bang over Tregastel, Behavingbadly, Recent Edition and Getinbybutonlyjust. Ben Britten has been ready to run for the past few weeks, and by all accounts is expected to make his mark over fences this term. He was denied a run the other week for one reason or another, and you can be sure that this dual winning hurdler will not lack a great deal in fitness as he tries the bigger obstacles for the first time. He goes well right-handed, stays forever, and as long as the going does not turn testing, can be supported with confidence. Tregastel was all out to win at Cartmel last time but at least has a fitness edge over most, while Behavingbadly looked like an out-and-out stayer when second at Cartmel in May and in addition will be fitter for the run. Recent Edition beat him narrowly here when they met in April and in truth there should not be too much between the pair again, and of the rest Getinbybutonly just should be kept in mind for a real marathon, the Scottish National next April perhaps. On this occasion we shall remain loyal to Ben Britten who looks to have a bright future.
