      Verdict

      The versatile BROTHER MCGONAGALL couldn’t quite get his head in front at Beverley but may not have done winning yet and this looks like an easier race. Cliff Bay was staying on stoutly to take his first handicap at Hamilton and can push the selection close though he may not be able to win this off his new mark. True Romance was disappointing when trying to follow up his Wolverhampton win and this drop back in trip is not certain to suit, a comment which also applies to Siyahamba, who was last seen staying on over 10 furlongs.
