Brandy Wine was heavily eased when landing a similar contest at Ayr earlier this month and an 11lb rise since then may not stop Len Lungo's gelding from following up but this run comes after just a 12 day break so preference is for another son of Roselier, Kinburn, who gets the vote ahead of Superrollercoaster. The last mentioned has improved with each start over fences and would not appear to be too badly treated, although today's testing conditions are of concern so he may be best watched. Sue Smith's Blackergreen has rather harshly been raised 5lbs for his second behind El Andaluz (beaten since) at Market Rasen last time and of more interest may be See You There, who has a bit to find with Brandy Wine on running last time but hails from the Lucinda Russell stable that has hit form of late. The consistent Getinbybutonlyjust and Richard Guest's Pass Me By are others worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Kinburn. Howard Johnson's gelding has plenty of weight for his first start in a handicap over fences but could hardly have been more impressive on his first start over the larger obstacles when making a winning chasing debut at Sandown on Boxing Day and, with plenty more improvement to come, he gets the vote.
