Magnesium is confidently selected ahead of Spiritual Society and Twist Bookie. Magnesium has been an expensive horse to follow but it is worth noting that he has been beaten by a number of decent horses of late. He was unfortunate to come up against the useful Nous Vaila at Leicester, while Livingonaknifeedge has gone on to run well in decent grade at Wetherby. Its an old cliche that compensation awaits but if he puts his best foot forward, Magnesium does look difficult to get away from. Spiritual Society had winning form in Ireland when trained by Willie Mullins. The form of his most recent run behind Pirate Flagship took a knock on Thursday when the second was beaten in a weaker race at Ludlow. Twist Bookie won a claiming hurdle at Ludlow. He seems to act on any surface. Negus de Beaumont boasts a couple of promising efforts in bumpers although he has shown very little to date over the obstacles. Miss Midnight ran soundly at Taunton for a long way. She is prone to making mistakes. Knightsbridge Hill is open to improvement if he handles today's surface. Magnesium is the recommendation.
