In depth

Formwatch

Granit d'Estruval (FR) Improving run of form came to a halt at the 10th fence of his last outing at Uttoxeter but, if his confidence has not suffered too much, he may well give a good account of himself here. Stable is in fair form at present is also a plus

Scotton Green Very game winner of the Northern National last season and can be relied on to give his all. He goes well fresh and despite his advancing years, he is not one to dismiss too lightly.

Ballystone (IRE) Made steady improvement last term and if you can dismiss his last run, (may have been feeling the effects of a few hard races) he is one to consider on a course that he likes with conditions to suit.

Curly Spencer (IRE) Received a massive hike in the weights after winning here in February, and may find life a little tough at present. Goes well on this course but others look to be better treated.

Nova Champ Ran on well in the closing stages at Bangor last time but looks to be weighted up to his best at present and is unlikely to improve at his age.

Primitive Way Former pointer who stayed on in dour fashion to out point Victor Laszlo at Kelso last time; more on his plate here but is open to improvement.

Tribal Tract (IRE) Tendency to find a few too good in his races so far and it is likely to be a similar tale here.

Casterbridge Questions to answer after failing to complete any of his last three starts and it is probably best to view his performance from a spectators point of view today.
