Sumthyne Special (IRE) Similar looking contest to the one he was successful in at last month's meeting: carries a 7lb penalty but has the scope to overcome the burden and will relish the conditions.
Brexent (FR) Ran as if in need of the run at Sedgefield last time but although he should have benefited from the outing, he may find one too good again.
Fairmile Star Will need to settle better in the early stages to figure here. The step up in trip is also a little bit of a negative.
Far Glen (IRE) Faced a stiff task on his Handicap debut at Wetherby's last meeting and may fare a little better here. One to keep an eye on with a view to the future.
Hanakham (IRE) Early casualty in the Grand National last year but he did win around Cheltenham in his days with Martin Pipe so he does have the ability to win a race. The step back to hurdles here may well be a confidence booster though and it may be prudent to see how he fares here before becoming financially involved with him again.
Harry Hooly He will need to improve a lot to finish nearer to Sumthyne Special this time around.
Just Maybe (IRE) Best watched at present.
Kerry Lads (IRE) Held by Sumthyne Special when fell here last time and unlikely to get past that one again if his jumping holds together today.
Sir Ruscott (IRE) Little encouragement to derive from his Wetherby outing and is best left alone at present.
Snapper Another who will need to find improvement from somewhere to beat Sumthyne Special.
Star Man (IRE) Failed to shine at Cheltenham on his debut and may need a little more time to find his level.
Reflective Way Hard to make a case for at present.
Solway Donal (IRE) Faded in the closing stages last time and may do so again if his jumping is not up to scratch
Tina Thyne (IRE) Shock winner on his debut at Uttoxeter in March, should be fitter for his recent outing but is unlikely that he will spring a surprise today.
