JORVEYBROOK is preferred to Ngong Hills and Indy Mood but we'll be keeping a close eye on The Painkiller and Pistol Basc too. Ngong Hills made a pleasing return to action and is entitled to come on for the outing but any rain would impair his chances. Indy Mood's best run over fences coincided with a step up to the sort of trip which suited him well over hurdles and he's certainly on an attractive mark in relation to his rating over timber. The Painkiller has been off the track for a long time but his yard is capable of readying one after an absence and he had some fair form to his name over hurdles. Pistol Basc ran his best race since arriving from France when staying on from the rear at Sedgefield on quick ground; a run which suggested a longer trip would suit and he has to be of interest. Jorveybrook had disappointed connections prior to his success at Newcastle last month but it was just the sixth start of his career and second over fences so there may well be more to come. A 7lb rise for that victory is fair enough and we'll take Jorveybrook to keep his rivals and the handicapper at bay.
